UPPCL Bill & Solar Savings Calculator

Your current bill and your post-solar bill, side by side, using UPERC's actual FY2025-26 LMV-1 tariff slabs, not a flat "₹7 a unit" guess.

Rural: ₹3.35 (0-100), ₹3.85 (101-150), ₹5.00 (151-300), ₹5.50 (above 300), fixed ₹90/kW. Electricity duty is commonly cited around 5% but is set by a separate state notification rather than the UPERC tariff order itself, treat that one line as indicative. This calculator does not include the fuel surcharge adjustment (FSA), which UPERC revises quarterly and appears as a separate line on your actual bill. Solar generation is assumed at ~120 units per kW per month. This is a planning estimate, not your exact bill.

Why your bill doesn't go to zero

Solar offsets your energy charge (the per-unit rate), but the UPPCL fixed charge is billed on your sanctioned load in kW every month, regardless of how many units you draw from the grid. Even a solar system that covers 100% of your consumption still leaves that fixed charge on your bill, plus a small minimum meter rent. This is normal and expected, not a sign anything is wrong with your installation.
