Fact: Panels generate less on cloudy or overcast days, not zero, output reduces, it doesn't stop. Myth: You need a battery for rooftop solar to work

Fact: Most homes use a grid-connected (on-grid) setup with net metering, surplus power is exported to the grid and drawn back later, rather than stored in a battery on-site. A battery is an optional add-on for backup during outages, not a requirement for solar itself to function or save money.

Myth: The subsidy covers the full installation cost

Myth: Any local electrician can install it and you'll still get the subsidy

Fact: Subsidy eligibility requires installation by a vendor on the official state-wise empanelled list. A technically fine installation by a non-empanelled electrician can still disqualify your subsidy claim entirely. This is one of the most costly mistakes to make. Myth: Bigger is always better

Myth: A pricier panel brand generates noticeably more electricity

Myth: Solar panels need constant, expensive maintenance
